🌿Green Fabric/Room Freshener

Simple. Safe. Sustainable.


A natural, non-toxic cleaner perfect for fabrics or as an air freshener. Did you know that plug-in air fresheners are highly toxic to pets?


💧 What You Need for the Vodka based freshener

Ingredients

  • 250ml Cheap Vodka/odourless surgical spirit

  • 1 drop Honey (although we did not add this)

  • 20 drops of Essential Oil of your choice (Lavender, Rosemary and Peppermint all repel moths)

 💧 What You Need for the vinegar based freshener

Ingredients

  • 4 blood oranges. Peeled

  • 1 drop Honey (although we did not add this)

  • 20 drops of Essential Oil of your choice (Lavender, Rosemary and Peppermint all repel moths)

  • Enough white vinegar to top up a jar


Equipment

  • 1 container such as a spray cleaning bottle

  • Scales

  • Jug

  • 1 jar

  • Funnel may be helpful


📝 How to Make the Vodka based example

  1. Measure: Add all ingredients to a jar. Add the essential oil and honey (if using)

  2. Mix: Shake well. Dispense as required to a spray bottle.


📝 How to Make the vinegar based example

  1. Measure: Add the orange peel to a mason jar

  2. Add: Top up the jar with white vinegar to cover the peel. Infuse for 2-weeks

  3. Mix: Shake well. Dispense as required to a spray bottle.


💡 Quick Tips for Use

  • Apply: Spray as required. Test a small area first.

 

·         Do your research when selecting essential oils to check they are safe for use in cleaning products.

·         Peppermint can be toxic to pets and can stain wood.

·         Lavender appears safe for all uses.

·         Rosemary possible risk for people with high blood pressure and in pregnancy.
