Our clothes swap grows year on year!

How it works!
The Big Swap Guidelines

Sort out your unwanted clothes
-
You can include accessories
-
No shoes unless brand new
-
Bring your items to your chosen event:- St Michael's Parish Rooms (April) or Woodlands Village Hall (September) between 10am and 11.45 am.

Your items will be checked and labelled
-
You will be given a receipt showing the total points for your old wardrobe
1 point = children's wear, t-shirts, shoes, accessories
2 points = shirt/blouse, shorts,​ jumper
3 points = jackets, trousers/skirts
4 points = coats, suits
Items may be declined if they are not in excellent condition

Return between 1pm - 2pm to ‘spend’ your points on other items

Unless indicated your unswapped items will be donated to charity

Don’t have enough points? See Coordinator Lucy on the day as we hold a 'bank' of points from clothes donated

Verwood Freecycle
With over 110 homes registering for Freecycle 2025, and epic feedback from the community, we will be back next year. Sunday 7th June to celebrate World Earth Day.​

VoW Pop Up Surgery
A volunteer attends the Heritage Centre the first Saturday of each month to hold a pop up recycling surgery for:-

Daily newspapers
Candles
Corks (a bin is now in place at the site)
Contact lenses
Cables and wires
Mobile phones, tablets and kindles
Padlocks, beer bottle caps, keys and metal razors
Brita water filters
Foreign currency
Buttons
​Wool
​
Medicine blister packs have moved to Verwood Town Council offices.
​
Volunteers are on duty between 9.30am and 10.30am and leave promptly.

Eco Christmas Tree Festival
Our first Eco Christmas Tree Festival, November 2025, was very well received.
