Make your own Eco Cleaning Products!

The Green Gram in Fordingbridge is hosting an eco cleaning event on May 6th at 7.30pm The Hub. You will make three cleaning items to take home. All purpose cleaner, wood polish, cream cleaner and be guided to make air freshener and how to polish wood with a walnut!  Price is £5 and includes all the ingredients. Session lasts 1-1.5 hours. Book your ticket early!!!

Verwood Freecycle

With over 110 homes registering for Freecycle 2025, and epic feedback from the community, we are back on Sunday 7th June to celebrate World Earth Day.

VoW Pop Up Surgery

A volunteer attends the Heritage Centre the first Saturday of each month to hold a pop up recycling surgery for:-

Daily newspapers

Candles 

Corks (a bin is now in place at the site)

Contact lenses

Cables and wires

Mobile phones, tablets and kindles

Padlocks, beer bottle caps, keys and metal razors

Brita water filters

Foreign currency

Buttons

Bubble wrap

Medicine blister packs have moved to Verwood Town Council offices.

Volunteers are on duty between 9.30am and 10.30am and leave promptly.

Eco Christmas Tree Festival

 Our first Eco Christmas Tree Festival, November 2025, was very well received.

We intend to run another festival weekend of 28/29 November, subject to sufficient tree participants.

Clothes Swap

Our clothes swap grows year on year!

The next one is Saturday 24 April 2027 (Venue to be decided). Put in your diary!

 

How it works!

The Big Swap Guidelines

  • Sort out your unwanted clothes

  • You can include accessories 

  • Shoes must be in excellent condition

  • Bring your items to your chosen event:- Verwood (April) or Woodlands Village Hall (September) between 10am and 11.45 am. 

  • Your items will be checked and labelled

  • You will be given a receipt showing the total points for your old wardrobe 

1 point = children's wear, t-shirts, shoes, accessories

2 points = shirt/blouse, shorts,​ jumper

3 points = jackets, trousers/skirts

4 points = coats, suits

Items may be declined if they are not in excellent condition

  • Return between 1pm - 2pm to ‘spend’ your points on other items

  • Unless indicated your unswapped items will be donated to charity

  • Don’t have enough points? See Coordinator Lucy on the day as we hold a 'bank' of points from clothes donated 

  • Please spread the word 

  • Enjoy your new wardrobe! 

  • Take for free from 2pm-2.30pm
